Calling All Tacori Girls

Who loves Tacori? This girl does. If you search through my jewelry collection you’ll find many Tacori pieces. Bracelets, rings, necklaces, you name it. I just can’t help myself, it’s all so beautiful. My obsession must be apparent because even Mark has caught on. For my big 4-0 he surprised me with a new Tacori promise bracelet. The bracelet can only be taken on or off with a special key, that he holds. The design is so elegant and the concept definitely warms the heart, but I have to say, his delivery was the best part. As he handed me the box he looked at me and said, “I promise to love you for the rest of our lives”. Now that my friends is a Tacori moment!

Whether you want a promise bracelet of your own or another piece that shows off your unique style, Tacori has something for everyone. I recommend taking a look at the Ivy Lane and Moon Rose collections. Here’s just a preview of some of my favorite pieces from those collections:

Another one of my favorite Tacori pieces is the “Birth of a Child” pendant. Perfect for all of the moms out there! The pendant represents the 12 months of the year and the diamond is placed according to the birth month of your child. It’s a great way to keep one of life’s most precious moments close to your heart.

Birth_PendantWhether you want to celebrate a milestone or add a new accessory to your collection, when you’re a #TacoriGirl, your options are endless. If you’d like to get a glimpse of what they have to offer stop by Yelton’s on September 26th and 27th for our All Tacori Weekend. We’ll be joined by a Tacori specialist with over 500 pieces onsite. Talk about eye candy! I hope to see you all there.

I am (almost) 14,600 Days Old

tina-40th-birthdayIt’s hard to believe that on Saturday I will turn the big 4-0. Yes, I said 40. Time flies, especially as you get older, but I have nothing but positive things to look back on. I am fortunate to be blessed with great health, a loving husband, two beautiful children and a supportive extended family. Looking at the big picture there is a lot to be grateful for, which is why I am marching towards 40 with confidence. When you wake up everyday appreciating everything that you have and looking forward to what’s to come, time carries no burden. In fact it’s a blessing.

Coming up on a milestone birthday, I took it as an opportunity to reflect back. In doing so it was fun to reminisce about the good times and appreciate the opportunities that I’ve had thus far. From high school and beyond, I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Florida, Hilton Head and other great places. I attended many amazing concerts in my college days. I met Mark and he spoiled me (wink). As a couple we traveled, treated ourselves to great meals, and attended sports games. No matter where we were we truly enjoyed our time together. Then, along came Ty and Trent. As a family the adventures only continued. We have gone to Disney many times, we set sail on a Disney Cruise, we made our way to Phoenix for spring training and our next stop will be New York City this fall. Looking back there is one common theme. I am one fortunate gal.

On top of reflecting upon past memories I’ve also thought a lot about my future and what was ahead. This past New Year’s Eve, knowing that the big 4-0 was just around the corner, I decided to make a bucket list of things that I wanted to accomplish in 2014. I’m proud to say that I’ve knocked off over half of them! Here’s a glimpse of my progress:

  1. Perform 40 random acts of kindness (almost there)
  2. Get baptized
  3. Spend more time with my mom
  4. Start a blog (here it is!)
  5. Read the Bible (halfway done)
  6. Be a better wife (We should probably check in with MY on this one!)
  7. Join a Bible Study
  8. Journal daily
  9. Learn to let go at work
  10. Take tennis lessons (had to stop due to an injury)
  11. Play in a tennis round robin
  12. Drink more H20 (gulp)
  13. Stay on my facial regimen (thanks Erika Ellis)
  14. Wear Makeup (to cover those wrinkles)
  15. Stay gluten-free
  16. Take my daily vitamins
  17. Eat less fast food
  18. Give up soda (5 weeks and counting)
  19. Sleep less
  20. Set goals to work towards at Yelton’s Fine Jewelers
  21. Serve at New Life Chapel
  22. Spend more time being thankful
  23. Don’t sweat the small stuff!

I have to say, I am pretty impressed. It’s only August and I’ve only got 17 more items to accomplish. While it won’t be easy, I know I can do it. Above all, it’s good to look back and realize that no matter how old you are, every year is a year to celebrate. Whether your 23 or 79, I challenge each of you to think about the things that you want to accomplish. Use your age as a guide, make a list on New Years Eve and go for it! Accomplishing your goals is easier than you would think and can be a lot of fun along the way.

Cheers to turning 14,600 days old!
