Simple Gestures Of Love

Valentines Day Gestures

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if you’re still on the hunt for that perfect gift or that perfect date, take a deep breath and relax. The Jeweler’s Wife is here to help. As cupid makes his way to town, here are some simple ideas to show that special person in your life that you care.

Jewelry: Of course jewelry is at the top of my list. Can you blame me? The best part is that you don’t have to break to bank to show someone that you care. Surprise him with new cufflinks, or buy her a simple bracelet that she can wear everyday. At Yelton Fine Jewelers we have items across all price ranges so that you can find that perfect gift, within your budget. You never know, we may even have some surprise specials going on. You’ll have to come in to see (wink).

Flowers: There’s nothing like a fresh bouquet to brighten up a room, and someone’s heart. If you live in the West Chester area I highly recommend going to see Rosemary and the gang at Petals & Things Florist. They have a variety of Valentine’s Days bouquets to choose from and also offer modern arrangements that look great on the desk.

Pictures: There is nothing that captures memories like pictures and Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to bring those moments back to life. Whether it’s your best friend or your one and only, break out that box of photographs and find one that you know will bring a smile to their face. Place it in a frame, add a bow, and consider it a Valentine’s Day success.

Chocolate: Need I say more?

Pizza: Dining amongst the masses on Valentine’s Day can be a stressful, and expensive, experience. Instead, head to Richard’s Pizza in Hamilton, Fairfield or Monroe. Every year, with the arrival of cupid, their pizza takes on a new form – as a heart. How cute is that? You better believe that Mark, I, and the boys will be feasting on our very own heart shaped pizza this Valentine’s Day. After all, I’m a Hamilton girl at heart.

Whether you are planning a huge Valentine’s Day gesture, or are opting for a cozy, relaxing night at home with the one that you love. The best advice I can give you is to do something. And by that, I mean anything.

I know there are a lot of people out there that look at Valentine’s Day and think, “Bah, it’s just a Hallmark holiday.” Even if it is, so what? If you ask me, it’s still a great opportunity for us to show the people in our lives how much they mean to us. You might be surprised how much fulfillment you get from surprising your significant other, your family, or your friends with just a small token.

Happy Valentine’s Day all. Spread the love.
