Treat Yourself On Mother’s Day

I’ll be the first to admit that my husband is VERY good to me. That said, sometimes (ahem, a lot of times) I still like to treat myself. After all, the only person that knows exactly what you need at any given moment is yourself, right? That last minute massage, those retail therapy purchases, and, that perfectly purple manicure. If you ask me, those aren’t selfish acts. They’re part of the Tina self-care package.

(Mark, I know you’re laughing)

As Mother’s we work hard. Not to mention the things that we balance in addition to our children. Careers. Partners. Parents. Forever friends. Umm, life. Sometimes at the end of a long day I sit down, stare into space, and think, “Phew, I made it.” Ladies, who’s with me?

First of all, a big shout out and a high five to my fellow Mother’s out there. Second of all, with Mother’s Day just around the corner and I encourage you all to treat yourself! To people that are constantly taking care of others I know the idea of splurging on YOU might be difficult, but c’mon YOU deserve it! Not sure where to start? Here are a few ideas …

  • Good Reads: Books are a great gift to self. I love getting lost in a story, and I also appreciate the alone time. Lately I’ve had my eye on The Lake House by Kate Morton.
  • Retail Therapy: Whether it’s a new outfit, a piece of shiny bling, or a purse that you’ve been eyeing, buy something that will make you feel beautiful! I may have upgraded my Stitch Fix order to a double box in May.
  • Pampering: If you’re craving some relaxation, make your way to the spa. A mani-pedi combo is a good mood booster, but if you can make a day of it. Book a massage, enjoy a facial, or simply sit quietly in the steam room.
  • A Night Out: Sometimes I find that a night out is the best medicine. Grab a girlfriend, or invite the hubby and kids. Whether it’s your favorite restaurant or a theatrical event, find a good reason to get out of the house. Maybe even pull out those heels?

Whatever you decide to do, make sure that you follow through! Mother’s Day is your opportunity to sit back, relax and splurge a little bit. Get it!

Great Looks For Spring

Lately, I’ve been looking up and thinking, “what is that orange thing in the sky?” Oh yeah, the sun! Finally. I’m sure hoping that Old Man Winter is on his way out. Looking at the forecast these 70 and 80 degree temps have me thinking that we may be skipping over spring and heading straight into summer. No complaints from this girl!

With the change of season, I’m excited to get my accessory wardrobe up to speed. Ladies, it’s time to dig through those jewelry boxes and let your spring pieces shine. If you’re looking for ideas, here are some trends that I love:

Monogram Pieces

I can’t quite figure it out, but there is something about spring that draws me towards my monogram pieces. If you too want to show off your identity stop by Yelton Fine Jewelers! From the Tacori Monogram collection to 100% custom pieces, we offer a wide selection of personalized jewelry so that you can enter this season in style.

Hints Of Color

Every spring wardrobe needs a healthy dose of color! Luckily, bold, colorful pieces are on trend this season so there are plenty of fabulous pieces to choose from. As a Tacori girl who loves blue tones, I’m personally drawn to the Island Rains collection. Can you blame me?

Yellow Gold

Yellow Gold jewelry is the perfect representation of warmth and sunshine. Bonus points if it comes with sparkling white diamond accents! If you’re looking for a piece to warm up your wardrobe, browse through the Hearts On Fire collections. Lariat necklaces, stunning stud earrings, fashion rings and more! There are so many great pieces to choose from.

Along with getting the right look, spring is also a great time to give your existing jewelry pieces a bit of a facelift. Every time you change your clocks, plan to bring your rings in to have them checked and cleaned. Simple and easy to remember! When you leave you’ll feel better knowing your stones are safe, and you’ll also appreciate that fresh dose of sparkle!
