September Birthdays

Happy September everyone! While the boys are back to school, and summer, as we know it has come to and end, we’ve still got plenty to celebrate at Yelton’s this month …

You know John? Our bubbly sales rock star? While we can’t believe it John, is turning the big 6-0 this month. I’d say he’s looking pretty good and with his energy levels you would assume he’s only 35. If you see him around give him a big high five.

And then there’s Mark and I, while we’re hanging on tight to our youth, we’ll also turn a year older this month. I’ll be 42 on the 6th, and Mark will make his way to 44 on the 3rd. When it comes to aging, I like to think of myself as a fine wine. It only gets better!

To celebrate another year in the life Mark and I are headed to the lake with family and friends. I’m hoping someone whips up a good gluten free meal for the birthday girl. I mean a really good one, none of these g/f recipes that taste like cardboard. Aaaand, if a little purple Yelton’s box happens to make it’s way to the lake as well … let’s just say I wouldn’t be disappointed (hint, hint).

Moms & Mimosas

July came and went, and it’s hard to believe that school is just around the corner! We’ve already started back-to-school prep in our house – stocking up on school supplies, securing uniforms, and practicing those early morning wake up calls. My kids are NOT happy, but I’m trying to stay strong. #willpower

If you too are a Mother gearing up for the next school year, I’m sure you’re feeling the pressure too. Well, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and it’s an event called Moms & Mimosas. What’s not to love?

Jan Collins is the host of this awesome gathering. For those who don’t know her, she’s a rock-star businesswoman that just happens to own two of my favorite local restaurants – Putters and Cozy’s Cottage. While Jan’s kids are now grown, she knows first hand how busy summer and school prep can be. So, after the kiddos hop on the bus for the first day, she decided us Mom’s deserve some fun too!

This year Moms & Mimosas will be held on August 16th from 9AM to 11AM at Putters in West Chester, OH. I’m lucky to have partnered with Jan on the event this year, and with our forces combined we’ve kicked it up a notch. Expect great food, good company, gift bags, and some pretty spectacular raffle prizes.

If your kids have a different start date, let’s chat. Maybe we can get a second date on the calendar! Even though my kids start on August 22nd, I’m still planning to hire a sitter and join in on the fun. Hope to see you all there!!
