Good Vibes For The Long Weekend

Hold on just a little bit longer, the holiday weekend is almost here! Do you have anything fun planned? For our family Labor Day weekend is a great way to reconnect after the busy summer months. We try to knock off any last adventures, we enjoy the opportunity to relax, and we also reserve plenty of time to celebrate!

You see, for the Yelton’s September is much more than getting back to school and reorganizing … it’s a big ol’ birthday month. Mark kicks it off on September 3rd, I follow on September 6th, and Trent is just behind us on September 12th. The long weekend is a great way to see that we all get our fair share of birthday treats and candles.

Whatever you have planned for Labor Day, I’m sending good vibes in your direction! If you see my birthday boys around in the next couple of weeks, give them a high five. I guess I wouldn’t to say no to encouragement as I continue to age gracefully as well {wink}.

 

Introducing Slate and Tell

Yesterday was one of our favorite events of the summer, Moms and Mimosas at Putter’s Sports Grill. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend personally this year, but Gina, Heather, and Megan were there to spread the Yelton love and drink mimosas in my honor. After all, that’s what friends are for, right?!

If you haven’t attended Moms and Mimosas in the past, you should definitely mark you calendar for next year. It’s such a great way to connect with other busy mothers, enjoy delicious grub, and most importantly … let loose a little bit before the back-to-school madness hits.

As a special treat to all of the moms that attended this year, we did a sneak peak of the Slate and Tell line that will be making it’s way to Yelton Fine Jewelers. As some of you know promoting healthy hearts is a cause that’s near and dear to me. When I lost my father to heart disease in 2012 it was a wake up call. One of those moments where you realize, ah ha, our time on this earth is in fact limited. Our bodies our one of our greatest assets. And, these people we surround ourselves by? We should tell them that we love them … every day.
