Spring Looks I Love

The official start of spring is less than one week away {yippee}. In order to welcome the new season in style, I’ve already been incorporating bright colors and fun patterns into my wardrobe. Of all of the options that are out there, my obsession this year is floral print. I just can’t seem to get enough of it!

While floral doesn’t fall under the approved dress code at Yelton Fine Jewelers, if you see me outside of work, I promise, I’ll be blooming. To complete my perfect spring look, you better believe I’ll be adding a layer of bling. From to floral dresses, to garden inspired earrings, here are the spring looks that I love for 2017 …

Bohemian Blooms

I am so glad that the bohemian look is sticking around for another season. Maybe I do have a little hippie in me after all. I love this blue floral blouse from Nordstrom because it delivers both fashion, and comfort. As for a jewelry pairing, it’s almost a no brainer. No boho outfit is complete without a cuff bracelet and no surprise, Tacori has come through for us once again.

 Spring Sophistication

What’s not to love about this floral shift dress from Nordstrom? It’s so versatile. Add a cami and pumps for a sophisticated work look, or rock it with a denim blazer and flats to keep it casual. And, the Tacori earrings! Talk about eye candy. Not only do they deliver an elegant sparkle, they also complement the blue tones in this dress so beautifully.

Go With The Flow

When that summer breeze kicks in, you’re going to want to reach for this flowy skirt from ASOS. It’s like wearing freedom {ahhhh}. To complement the organic look and feel of this skirt, I recommend these stunning drop earrings from the Simon G Garden collection. They’ll quickly become a staple in your spring wardrobe.

Casual Chic

Jacket_HOFPendant

I’m in love with this floral bomber jacket, and believe it or not, it’s from Target. Of course, they would! It’s so chic; yet still delivers that laid back look that’s perfect for running errands on the weekend. Since the jacket already has so much to offer, I recommend pairing it with a simple diamond pendant for just the right amount of shine.

Not Just For Ladies

Guys, just because I’m talking floral doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the fun. Peruse the dress shirts next time you’re at a department store and I guarantee you’ll find plenty of subtle, floral patterns that you’ll actually like. Add a luxury timepiece, like this Stainless Steel Watch from Tissot and you’ll be ready to dominate the boardroom, or date night.

Spring is almost here, so let’s start dressing like it! If you have a spring look that you need help completing stop by Yelton Fine Jewelers to see me. I’ll help you find the perfect bling so that you can feel like you’re blooming too <3.

Beneath The Bling

Coming back from Vegas, I feel refreshed. While jewelry shows are about finding new lines, staying up to date on trends, and networking, it’s also much more. As I reflect on the past week, I realize that the reason I love what I do is not just because of the sparkles. It’s because of the innovation, the fashion, the people, and the passion. All of the tiny facets that rest beneath the bling …

Innovation

My favorite thing about the jewelry industry is how it continues to evolve. New technology, new styles, and new designers are constantly coming out of the woodworks. The result of this ongoing innovation is an industry that bleeds creativity and expression. In Vegas, there was evidence of that everywhere. Even after all of these years, I’m continuously amazed. And that is, awesome!

Fashion

When most people think about fashion, the first thing that comes to mind is clothing. Well, I’m here to tell you that no outfit is complete without perfectly coordinated bling. Everywhere we turned in Vegas we found stunning fashion pieces. They were colorful, they were bold, and they had me wanting. With the right jewelry piece, I promise, even jeans and a white t-shirt can become a work of art. That, my friends, is the power of fashionable jewelry.

People

Believe it or not when I see diamonds, I don’t think about the rocks themselves. I think of the people they represent. When I look at a well-crafted Simon G engagement ring, I think about the man, the artisan behind the work. When I sell a promise ring, or an anniversary band at Yelton Fine Jewelers, I think about my customers, their love and their unique story. When I put my own jewelry on each morning, I think about my blessings, and my own desire to express myself. Look deeply at any jewelry piece, and I bet, you too, will be reminded of someone special in your life.

Passion

If you ever have an opportunity to attend a jewelry show, one of the first things you’ll notice is that everyone there is passionate about what they do. When you walk into the room, the energy radiates and it’s because we believe in the products that we sell. As jewelers, we appreciate the hard work that goes into each piece, we respect the vision of the designers, and in the end, we love helping our customers commemorate the most precious moments in their lives. I think we can all agree, there aren’t many jobs quite like this one.

As I get settled back into the “real world”, I’m appreciative of my time in Vegas. For reconnecting me with the people that inspire me, for exposing me to the talents of so many designers, and for reminding me all that lies beneath the bling.

The Year Of Color & Love

The New Year has just begun and already I’m noticing two trends – color and engagement.

When it comes to adding color to your wardrobe, I’m going to have to agree with Pantone on their 2016 Color of The Year. The combination of warm, Rose Quartz and cool, Serenity is fabulous. Out of curiosity, I scoped the showroom floor at Yelton’s to see if I might be able to find any bling that matched this refreshing color scheme. Sure enough, Luvente and Tacori pulled through.

If you’re looking for a piece with warmer tones consider the Tacori Moon Rose collection. The peach moonstones deliver an elegant dose of color while the diamond accents offer that shine that we all appreciate.

Luvente really hit it out of the park, delivering the perfect contrast between contrast, beauty and fashion. The earrings you see below feature blue topaz set in rose gold. The two tones looks fabulous together and are further accentuated by … you know it, diamonds!

Last but not least, engagement! While every January is a busy month for engagement rings, this year I feel like every other customer I see is ready to pop the question. Love is in the air folks. Based on what our customers are asking for fancy shapes are still in. I love how the oval and pear-shaped diamonds deliver that same sparkly look, with an added dose of personality.

Happy New Year everyone! If these jewelry trends are any indication for how the rest of the year will go, I’d say it’s going to be pretty fabulous. Stay tuned for more jewelry trends as 2016 continues on.

Tina’s Fashion Secrets

On our recent trip to LA, my wardrobe choices got a lot of buzz in the social media world. With the outpouring of comments and questions, I realized that it might be time for me to reveal my fashion secrets so that we can all benefit from them. Call it a win!

I am one of those girls who likes to own her own wardrobe pieces. While there are plenty of great services out there now that allow you to borrow a look, it’s just not for me. The draw back being, clothes and accessories can be (really) expensive! This is where it’s important to learn balance. I tend to look for bargains at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls so that I can splurge on other items. I’m talking shoes, handbags and, of course, accessories!

If you’re looking to spruce up your wardrobe for fall, or any other season for that matter, take these tips from me …

STITCH FIX

If you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix, it’s time you were informed. You can thank me later. Spend a bit of time building an online style profile, invest $20 and voila, you have your very own style assistant. Talk about feeling important! After you sign up your assistant will ship you five fashion pieces at a time. The frequency of shipments and the budget range is totally up to you. When you receive the items if you buy any of them they waive you’re $20 styling fee and … if you buy all five, you get 25% off.

The key here is feedback! If you aren’t happy with something, tell them why so that your picks are even better next time. It is also very helpful to keep a Stitch Fix Pinterest board so that you can share the looks with your stylist. I even went as far as to add my stylist to my Facebook page so she could get a better understanding of my lifestyle. We’re on our way to being besties.

THREDUP

My second secret is ThredUp, an online consignment store. It’s easily becoming my favorite place to shop, because the deals are AMAZING. I’m talking a Banana Republic skirt for $10, a Diane Von Fusterberg top for $30, and a Belle by Bagledy Mischka dress (with tags) for $40. One time I even scored a Kate Spade on this site for $75.

Tina_Fashion

The deal with this site is that you get free shipping and free returns within in 14 days, as long as you accept a ThredUp store credit as your return payment. And, even if you don’t the return shipping fee is only $8.99. Not bad considering you have the opportunity to score some really good deals!

GLAD RAGS

One of my dreams in life was to open a mobile fashion boutique. I wrote out a business plan, I picked a name (Sassy Axles), and was ready to move full force ahead until God made it clear that he had different plans for me. He told me I was better off continuing on my current path. I’m glad I did, but I am also ecstatic that my great friend, Lauren, had the same dream and ambition to create Glad Rags.

Her business model is a bit different than the one that I had mapped out, but she’s been rocking it! She just finished remodeling an antique Shasta camper and has been filling it with all sorts of awesome fashion finds. Follow her on Facebook and you will quickly fall in love with the concept. Also keep your eyes and ears open as Yelton Fine Jewelers and Glad Rags will be teaming up in the not-so-distant future.

And there you have it. Just a few tips to make your wardrobe even better! If you ever have any questions about fashion, jewelry, or accessories you know that I’ve got your back. If you have any shopping tips that you want to share, send them my way, I would love to hear them!

Happy shopping everyone!
